The series centers on the Roy family, the owners of global media and entertainment conglomerate Waystar RoyCo, and their fight for control of the company amidst uncertainty about the health of the family's patriarch.
Cox plays foul-mouth tyrant Logan Roy, believed to be a loose take on Australian billionaire, Rupert Murdoch.
Whilst the Scottish actor called it a 'career-defining role', he also said that he had sympathy with the character, who he described as 'a very lonely man' who 'only wanted his children to succeed him' but 'none of them proved worthy'.
