Charlie Cox has said he would ‘jump at the chance’ of filming a season three of Kin.

The actor played Michael Kinsella in the Irish crime drama but is, of course, best known for playing Marvel’s Matt Murdock – AKA, Daredevil.

With the Brit soon to return as the character for Daredevil: Born Again, he’s discussed being open to also return to his role in Kin - but that might not be quite as possible right now.

Despite being a hugely popular series, the future of the Dublin-set show seems to have been up in the air with star Emmett J Scanlan previously saying he loved working on the show but admitted there was a bit of a ‘bidding war’ for it.

And this feelings were echoed by Cox, who exclusively told LADbible it was ‘one of the greatest, greatest jobs’ he’s ever had.

He said: “Just being in Dublin, in and of itself was amazing. I hadn't spent that much time in Ireland before. Just had such a beautiful time, amazing people, amazing city, amazing country.

"And, you know, we fought the shoot the first season during COVID as well. So we were so lucky just to kind of be working and, you know, with people and making, making the television show, being creative, making content."

The star went on to call the writer and showrunner, Peter McKenna, an ‘utterly amazing talent’ as he was ‘blown away’ by every script, praising him for bringing the world to life in way that was both 'so touching and so scary'.

"I found it to be really, really moving," he added. "And when you do watch that show, it's kind of amazing how you can feel so deeply for characters who are really kind of awful, and not people that you'd want to have relationships with in real life, in any way."

Explaining he ‘would loved to do season three’, Cox admitted he doesn’t know if it’s possible.

“I know there are some issues, legal issues with the ownership of the show, or something like that. I have no idea,” he added. “But certainly if they were to come to me with the possibility of a third season, I would jump at that chance, because I loved making it.

"The actors in that show were just phenomenal. I felt very, very honoured to be, to be a part of it.”

Well, while we may have to wait (with hope) to see Cox back on screen as Kinsella, there’s not so long to go until we see him as the one and only Daredevil.

The first trailer for the Marvel series releases today (15 January) ahead of the highly anticipated release, with Born Again coming after the star’s portrayal of the lead in Netflix’s previous Daredevil series.

This new show will follow Murdock fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while his old mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) is running for mayor of New York City.

It’s a continuation of the last series, said to be about five years on and will explore the collision of the pair’s past identities.

Daredevil: Born Again will be available to stream on Disney+ on 5 March.
