Daisy May Cooper has revealed she asked her This Country co-star to haunt her from the dead - a request which they later fulfilled.
The 38-year-old actress and writer is widely known for co-creating and starring in the BBC Comedy series alongside her brother Charlie Cooper, and has since appeared as a guest in various comedy shows like Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Big Fat Quiz, and her ongoing series Am I Being Unreasonable?
Cooper is also a believer in the paranormal world, with her upcoming book Hexy B*tch: Tales from My Life, the Afterlife, and Beyond seeing her explore various unexplained phenomena.

Cooper has been recounting several of her spooky stories ahead of the book's release, including one which involves her late This Country co-star Michael Sleggs.
Sleggs, who played a supporting character in the mockumentary series, tragically passed away at the age of 33 due to heart complications.
Cooper revealing the actor had promised her that he would come back to haunt her should it be possible.

"He knew how much I loved all this s**t," the actress explained during an interview with Metro promoting Hexy B*tch.
"I’d said to him, 'You know, you’re going to come back the second you f**king die, you’ve got to come back and let me know that there’s something on the other side'."
Cooper was initially disheartened by the lack of ghostly presences around her - however, this would begin to change over the years, as she began to experience several supernatural happenings.

The spooky sightings at home would even go on to be too much for her, leading to the actress relocating to get some piece of mind.
Cooper would later learn that her home had been built near a railway used for transporting injured soldiers, as well as a lake where a young boy had drowned.
However, the eeriest happening would lead Cooper to believe that Sleggs had managed to come through from the other side after all.
Recalling experiencing 'tugging' on her duvet and a rhythmic 'knocking' in her house on the day of a festival which Sleggs had wanted to attend, Cooper said that she was certain it was her late co-star coming through that night.

"This knocking at the door wasn’t a normal kind – there was a rhythm and me and my partner just looked at each other... I'm sure it was him," she said (via Radio Times).
"If anybody was going to come back and let me know there was something after death, it would be him."
Hexy B*tch: Tales from My Life, the Afterlife, and Beyond by Daisy May Cooper will be released on 24 October.
