One of the stars of the original Harry Potter films has shared his one major concern about the television remake of the franchise.
In April last year, HBO Max and Discovery+ sent shockwaves through fans of the Wizarding World after confirming that a TV reboot of the films was on the way.
Given that it's only been 13 years since the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, hit cinemas the news seemed a little strange at first; however, it looks like it is currently full steam ahead on the project, with the first season currently expected to reach our screens by 2026.
Casting is said to have begun back in September this year (as per a report from Deadline), leaving fans naturally curious to see who will take over the roles which Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint made so famous.

However, it looks like some of the original cast are feeling a little bit nervous about seeing their roles recast.
Appearing together for an interview at Liverpool Comic Con, actors Harry Melling, Jessie Cave and Devon Murray were asked to share their thoughts on the new TV adaptation - and it turns out the actors have one particular concern about the reboot.
"It's obviously upsetting in part because you're like 'Oh, someone else is going to play my character and it might be even better'," Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the films, said.

"But it's also exciting to think there's a new life for it too."
Murray - who fans will recognise as the actor who brought pyrotechnic fiend Seamus Finnigan to life - was quick to agree with the sentiment, adding: "That's exactly where I was coming from too, like the jealously and 'Oh my God, someone's going to play Seamus'."
He then joked: "They're going to make me look terrible."
The actors wouldn't be the first Harry Potter alumni to express anxiety over seeing their character recast, with Nymphadora Tonks actor Natalia Tena even joking to Digital Spy that producers 'deserved to die' for the remake.

Fortunately for HBO, it seems that Cave, Murray and Melling are fully on board with seeing how the franchise adapts to the small screen, particularly as so much plot had to be cut out of the films.
"I'm so excited by it," Melling, who played Dudley Dursley in the original movies, revealed. "So much stuff had to go because [the] nature of film, dealing with such big books. It's just great that the TV show can hopefully explore those different stories.
"I hope they do something new and different with it."

Being able to see more content from the books appear on screen was something which also excited Murray, who added that his favourite character Peeves had been cut from the films.
