I’m A Celeb salaries ‘revealed’ by expert as Coleen Rooney earns eye-watering record sum

I’m A Celeb salaries ‘revealed’ by expert as Coleen Rooney earns eye-watering record sum

Rooney tops the list ahead of some big names

The salaries of I’m A Celeb stars have been ‘revealed’, with Coleen Rooney reported to have been paid a record sum this year.

This is a huge sum, with the previous record belonging to Nigel Farage, who pocketed a cool £1.5 million.

Joining Coleen in this year’s cast in the jungle is N Dubz singer and X Factor host Tulisa, podcaster and influencer GK Barry, McFly star Danny Jones, and Strictly pro Oti Mabuse.

In addition to this are boxing legend Barry McGuigan, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, Loose Women star Jane Moore, Corrie actor Alan Halsall, and DJ Melvin Odoom.

Later this week they will be joined by TV personality and Church of England priest Richard Coles, and former Love Islander Maura Higgins.

Some reports have stated that Rooney is being paid in excess of Nigel Farage’s £1.5 million for her month spent down under.

Speaking to OK! magazine, No Strings Public Relations founder Riley Gardiner has ‘revealed’ how much each member of the cast will be getting for this year’s show.

Riley estimated that Dean McCullough would be the lowest earner this year, saying:

"While he’s not a household name yet, he’s personable and could bring a light-hearted energy to the group. A lower fee might be realistic, but he could surprise everyone with his charisma."

He then gave the following estimations for other contestants on the show:

Melvin Odoom - £60,000 to £90,000.

Barry McGuigan - £70,000 to £100,000.

Jane Moore - £80,000 to £120,000.

Alan Halsall - £100,000 to £150,000.

GK Barry - £100,000 to £150,000.

Danny Jones - £100,000 to £150,000.

Tulisa Contostavlos - £150,000 to £200,000.

Oti Mabuse - £100,000 to £200,000.

Riley Gardiner, however, said that he isn’t convinced that Coleen is making the whopping £1.5 million being reported widely.

He said: “She’s riding a wave of media interest with the whole 'Wagatha Christie' saga, so the show would need to dig deep into its pockets to bring her in - think £500,000 to £600,000, at least.

“Coleen’s public image is strong right now, and people are genuinely curious about her, so she’d definitely pull in a lot of viewers."

While the above are all estimates, the expertise of Gardiner means that it is likely to be quite accurate.

The whole sum is an eye-watering amount, but if you ask viewers of this season so far – it will be worthwhile.

Several fans have already stated that they think this year’s camp is the best so far.

One tweet read: "Nah guys, the producers need to get a raise because this is the most likeable cast we've had in AGES".
