I’m A Celeb fans have made their outrage known to ITV after they made a massive change from tradition for last night’s finale.
McFly singer Danny Jones was crowned the King of the Jungle yesterday evening, with Coleen Rooney coming in second and Reverend Richard Coles coming in third.
While fans were shocked at the fact that, in actuality, it wasn’t every close votes-wise between the trio, the shock came in the form of the challenge.

For years now, the iconic I'm a Celeb final trial has always been about individually eating some gross, gross sh*t.
While they aren’t made to eat literal sh*t, based on some previous years, this may have if anything been preferable.
Sam Thompson last year alone was forced to eat camel's penis, a fish eye, a scorpion, a larvae called a ‘witchetty grub’, and a pig's vagina.
The idea of the eating trial was that, to earn a lovely three course meal of their choosing, contestants would have to first subject their stomach to a beating.

This time around however, the three celebs were made to do a joint trial called ‘The Towers of Terror’.
Instead of eating pig vaginas, they were forced to lie in a tight space and pass down stars while being subjected to snakes, bugs, and gross meat.
Not everyone was best pleased at the change however.

One tweeted: “Wtf where is the traditional eating trial at the end of the series which leads them to feel sick and lose their appetite for their dinner later????"
Another said: "BOOOO! Bring back the classic eating trial!"
A third jokingly referred to the classic Sean Dyche meme to say: “No eating trial for the final?! Utter. Woke. Nonsense.”

And a fourth added: “I’m sorry but for me the final trial has to be a god awful eating trial for them all. It just makes the most sense".
While I understand the misgivings of viewers, I would personally say being covered in snakes and bugs is no walk in the park itself. The trio were able to snag the maximum number of stars in the trial, earning themselves a three-course meal of their choosing.
The best moment of the trial was arguably a callback to one of the first viral moments of the series, in which Richard asked if he had a snake in his pants.
For those who missed the reference, it was a witty callback to earlier in the series when Jones found himself in that predicament, and not the Reverend asking about the McFly singer’s willy.
