Ridiculously young age that Kaleb Cooper started farming

Kaleb Cooper is the real star of Clarkson's Farm but it is by no means his first rodeo in the agriculture industry

He's the clear star of Amazon Prime Video's Clarkson's Farm, but agricultural life for Kaleb Cooper started many, many years before the cameras started to roll at Diddly Squat Farm.

Still only 25, Cooper carries a maturity about him that has seen him act as the wise owl in his professional and personal relationship with Jeremy Clarkson, who in 2019 decided he was going to take over running the spot following the retirement of its former farmer.

Jezza being Jezza, he saw an opportunity to make something more out of it. Enter Clarkson's Farm, which we can safely say is one of the most-loved British television shows in recent years.

With a third season of it making its way to Prime Video on Friday, 3 May, millions will be sitting back down for another instalment of life at the Cotswolds tourist spot.

For Cooper, his passion for farming started many moons ago.

Now 25, Cooper's obsession with the industry began more than a decade ago when he became obsessed with farming as a kid.

It all started out when he was just 13 years old and kept three chickens on a small piece of land that his father owned.

Cooper would then take eggs produced by the eggs and sell them door-to-door in Chipping Norton; the town he still calls home.

He earned hundreds in a matter of months and re-invested in more hens to increase production. He then got to a point when, aged 15, he was able to buy his first ever tractor.

"I think I was put on this planet to farm," he told Country Living.

"My mum's not a farmer, my dad's not a farmer, but I was set in my goal from a very young age."

And speaking to LADbible last year, he revealed his work ethic at such a young age still rings true today, clocking up 117-hour weeks on a regularly basis.

He said: "That's an average week. My one goal in life is to buy myself a farm; that's what I want more than anything.

"I'm a firm believer if you wake up in the morning and go - 'urgh, got to work' - you're in the wrong job straightaway.

"I wake up and I go - 'right, dreams don't work unless you do'. That's one thing that is in my head all the time."

Despite his maturity at such a young age, Clarkson spent the first season of the show jokingly mocking Cooper as the 'foetus' of the operation.

But their friendship is there to be seen by all. Clarkson told LADbible: "He's a wonderful, wonderful person. The hardest working person I know."

Clarkson's Farm Season Three is released to Amazon Prime Video on Friday, 3 May.
