Fans are feeling pretty ‘awkward’ seeing a clip from a popular sitcom after recent news about its stars.
Last week, comedians Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont announced they are getting a divorce.
The pair released a joint statement to PA news agency, saying: “After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated. We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.

“As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being. We will be making no further comment.”
As well as their own successful stand-up careers and TV appearances, the pair star in Meet the Richardsons together.
Beaumont and Richardson play fictionalised versions of themselves in the mockumentary-format show and the fifth series only began broadcasting on Dave on 8 April – just days before the divorce announcement.

And so, like with all new shows, promo clips are currently being shared on social media.
A clip shared to Dave’s Instagram earlier today (17 April) shows a part of the programme as the pair discuss a sound Richardson made in his sleep.
Beaumont asks him what he was dreaming about as she plays a recording of the bizarre noise he made while she was ‘fast asleep’ at 3am.
The caption for the clip reads: “How do you rate Jon’s nighttime peacock impression?” As it adds: “Stream new Meet The Richardsons on @uktvplay.”

But fans have found it a pretty awkward watch as they write in the comments: “Jesus Dave, read the room…”
Another wrote: “Well these adverts feel awkward now,” as others called it ‘out of touch’ timing. One joked that ‘making that noise at 3am is certainly grounds for divorce’.
Other users wrote: “Saw the latest episode and watched it with completely different eyes.”

But one did say: “Well, Dave commissioned the series, and it has been recorded - they are going to air it, come what may.”
Meet the Richardsons is a very popular show with Beaumont nominated for a BAFTA TV award for her role last year.
The TV pair were originally set up by comedian Roisin Conaty, with Richardson previously explaining: "Roisin Conaty set us up and for months I said 'if you like this girl don't get us involved because I'll ruin her f**king life'."

He also later explained why he wasn't fully up for the idea: "I was very depressed and I thought, why drag someone else down with me."
