What do you get when you throw a bunch of young offenders completing community service together who end up obtaining strange superpowers after a freak electrical storm?
An iconic British series, that's what.
It's somehow been a whopping 15 years since the first episode of Misfits aired way back in 2009, but the show still has a loyal cult following and continues to attract new fans because it's that bloody great.
The original cast on the Channel 4 show have a lot to do with this, as the chemistry between the wayward characters was magical - so it's no surprise that they've all gone on to do big things.

We've seen Antonia Thomas, Iwan Rheon, Lauren Socha, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Robert Sheehan pop up on our screens in various shows and films in the more than a decade that has passed since Misfits first made its debut.
In terms of who had the best superpower, everyone who watched it all had their own rankings.
Choosing between being immortal, invisible, a mind reader or having the ability to turn back time is a tough one - but it's safe to say a lot of people weren't too interested in sending people into a sexual frenzy with a simple touch.
Antonia's character Alisha had the power to make anyone she came into contact with want to have sex with her, which quickly turned out to be more of a curse than anything else.

And it turns out that this aspect of her role nearly caused the actress to walk away from the opportunity.
The Brit, 37, almost turned down the Misfits gig because of the multiple sex scenes that were involved with playing Alisha - and really, can you blame her? Her nickname was 'C*ck Monster' for gods sake.
But she changed her mind after the writer behind the hit series, Howard Overman, had a chat with her and explained that the character had a lot more depth than what she might have initially thought.

The superpowers each of the stars received following the storm represent their own flaws - so, because Nathan reckons he is invincible he becomes immortal, while Simon is a shy introvert and becomes invisible... you get the gist.
In Antonia's case with Alisha, she was happy to engage in casual sex without really caring about the other person's feelings, hence how she ended up with the strange ability to make people desperate to bed her.
Overman allowed the cast to exercise some creative freedom over their characters, as they were allowed to chime in with ideas about how scenes should go as well as adding to their storylines.

Speaking to SFX in 2011 ahead of Misfits' third season, Thomas explained that she was glad that Alisha had become 'more settled' throughout the series while explaining her character's motivations for acting how she did.
The Good Doctor star explained: "She was only like that because she was insecure and it was all she’d need to use her sexuality to be like that.
"She never had a serious relationship where someone made her feel good about herself and that she didn’t have to flaunt her t*ts and shag about basically.
"She’s a completely different person really. Over quite a short space of time."

Thomas also joked that she 'has much less sex' in the third season.
For those who need a refresher on how Alisha's story went - she first struck up a relationship with Curtis, but ultimately ended up with 'Superhoodie' Simon - before she sadly ends up getting murdered and dying in his arms.
These days, Thomas is working on the Apple TV series Still Up and is also set to star alongside Sam Claflin in The Bagman.
