It's official - our prayers have been answered and the beloved Brockman family are making a return to the BBC.
The hit sitcom Outnumbered is making a special comeback this Christmas - but don't get too excited as it's a one-off episode, similarly to what we are getting off Gavin and Stacey.
So, it means the the chaotic Brit family have to cram a lot of stuff into the episode - especially seen as though it's been eight years since we last saw them on our TVs in the 2016 festive special.
Many of us spent the majority of time between 2007 to 2014 glued to our telly's watching the original series, which left us in absolute stitches thanks to the combination of quintessential UK humour and semi-improvised scenes with the kids.

Hugh Dennis, who starred as dad Pete, says he 'can't wait' for the gang to be back together again this year - but he's give a possible hint that the festive episode might tug on fans heartstrings.
His on-screen wife Claire Skinner - who is also his real-life partner - also said: "I’m really looking forward to being reunited with my TV family. Working on this wonderful BBC comedy doesn’t feel like work and is one of the greatest joys for us all."
As the actress, who plays Sue, rightfully stated, Outnumbered is a comedy with side-splitting family dynamics.
So what on earth could have us all sobbing when siblings Jake (Tyger Drew-Honey), Ben (Daniel Roche) and Karen (Ramona Marquez) are back on our screens terrorising their parents?

Well, the Christmas special is set to look a lot different than the old Outnumbered episodes we're used to which show the iconic trio running rings around Pete and Sue at their property in Chiswick.
During an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday (29 May), Dennis reminded fans that it's been a few years since the series last aired, so the Brockman family are likely dealing with an entirely different set of circumstances these days.
The actor, 62, explained: "It’s going to be strange isn’t it because I don’t think we live together anymore as a family.

"There’s lots of different stuff to reflect and one of the great things about the show was to reflect life as it actually was. It’s great that it’s coming back. We are doing this 40 minute special, but we don’t really know anything about it.
"We’ve read in the paper that we’ve got a grandchild, but we don’t know who’s kid it is."
So basically, anything could happen in this Christmas special - but they will all likely be living apart.

Following the announcement that Outnumbered would be returning in December on 23 May, reports suggested that Pete and Sue will be living in a 'downsized home' as all their kids have flew the nest.
According to the BBC, the couple would be 'grappling with the challenges of parenting kids who are now adults with their own lives to lead', before they get together for a 'traditional Christmas'.
But in true Outnumbered style, 'fate, neighbours, hyenas and bus replacement services get in their way'.
Jon Petrie, Director of BBC Comedy, says: "Outnumbered is one of the crown jewels of British sitcoms. We're so grateful to Guy, Andy, Hattrick, and the cast for dusting it off and putting it back on display."

While co-creator, writer and director Andy Hamilton says: "It’s a very exciting prospect to be revisiting the Brockman family - older, but not necessarily wiser - as they steer a path through the perils of Christmas and the rapids of modern-day family life."
