Richard Hammond has publicly spoken about his divorce for the first time since he announced the split.
Hammond and wife Amanda 'Mindy' had been married since 2002, sharing two daughters together: Izzy, 24, and Willow, 22.
In January, the British television presenter took to X to share the news with heartbroken fans, reiterating that 'we will still be a family'.

While the 55-year-old said in a joint statement with his ex-wife that they had 'incredible 28 years together', it looks like the former Top Gear host was not shy to poke fun at his personal life in the latest episode of The Grand Tour.
Well, it's not exactly the old show, with it being called The Not Very Grand Tour, and mostly consisting of old clips with segments from James May and Hammond in-between. Think 'best of' compilations.
In the first episode, titled The Glory and The Power, Jeremy Clarkson was absent from presenting duties, giving May and Hammond full reign - something that hasn't happened since their final episode on Top Gear, when Clarkson was suspended for punching a producer.
Much like that episode, the pair presented the show without an audience.

However, one exchange from this Prime Video episode did the rounds on social media, as Hammond seemingly took a dig at his personal life.
In between some of the show's best bits, when speaking about how influential the engine is, Hammond explained: "In the 1800s, the average American travelled 50 metres a day.
"Now, the average person travels 50 kilometres a day, and some cover a lot more."
He went on: "If we travel more, we see more, we learn more. And we don’t have to marry whoever lives next door, which is my case," he apparently said in reference to his split, looking at the camera awkwardly.

May then swerved the conversation away from the topic, saying, 'Anyway!'
Hammond announced his split three months ago, though it is unclear when they called it quits, and when he filmed the episode.
Writing in a joint statement, he said: “A little update from us; this Christmas we were together as a family and this year we will still be a family but just structured a bit differently,
“Our marriage is coming to end, but we’ve had an amazing 28 years together and two incredible daughters.
“We will always be in each other’s lives and are proud of the family we created.

“We won’t be commenting further and sincerely hope that our privacy and that of our children will be respected at this time. With Love, Richard and Mindy.”
The episode itself disappointed some fans, who expected a sliver of new content, or even some behind-the-scenes footage that was previously unseen.

Unfortunately, it looks like the episodes will be featuring the best features of the 46 episodes the trio filmed on Prime Video over eight years, following their departure from the BBC in 2015.
The Grand Tour's studio format came to an end in 2019, though it was followed with a number of specials until their final episode together hit the air in 2024.

It may not be much, but it may be the last time we see the presenters (minus Clarkson, for now) on screen together for a while.
As for the next three episodes, the official Amazon website reads: "Three more The Grand Tour specials, all coming under the banner title The Grand-ish Tour, will release later this year and into 2026."
The Not Very Grand Tour: The Power And The Glory is available to stream on Prime Video now.
