Earlier this month, Sam Thompson was crowned King of the Jungle.
But while the Made in Chelsea star may have won this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity, he ignored a major ITV rule and put his best mate in danger.
And when I say danger, I mean Thompson ‘nearly killed’ Pete Wicks.

Here's the moment he was crowned king of the jungle:
The reality star was met by his famous pal as girlfriend and Love Island star Zara McDermott wasn’t able to fly out to Australia. That’s because she was meant to be taking part in Strictly so the producers couldn’t be sure she’d be there – but McDermott ended up eliminated before Thompson even entered the jungle.
As fans know Thompson and Wicks are besties, so he was buzzing to see him waiting at the other end of the famous I’m a Celeb bridge.

However, turns out he didn’t quite follow the rules of said bridge.
Speaking on their Staying Relevant podcast, Wicks recalled a conversation the producer had with Thompson: “You’re gonna stand on this star and Pete’s going to come and meet you.”
The TOWIE star then claims his winner pal was told: “Do not jump.”

Wicks even explained: “Now, they say this to me, ‘do not jump’.
“And I went ‘well, he’s going to jump’. They went ‘we’ve told him not to jump’.”
The star added that the bridge ‘is not stable’ as Thompson described it as ‘the most rickety thing’.
“That’s why everyone looks weird when they’re walking across because it’s high up and very rickety.”

Wicks promised he wouldn’t jump: “Do I look like the sort of person that jumps, do you know what I mean?”
And apparently Thompson also ‘promised’ he wouldn’t jump either.
“So Sam jumps,” Wicks said.

“We then get a little bit carried away but I’m then supporting both of our body weight on this bridge.”
He then had to turn his mate around on the bridge so the cameras were able to get both their faces whilst ‘wrapped around’ him.
“I lost my balance,” Wicks said. “I had to grab the f**king bridge to stop us going over. I nearly died.”
Users on TikTok said: “Pete holding on for dear life was the funniest thing ever.”
As another added: “I screamed at the TV ‘they are going to fall over’ sheer panic from me.”
Others confessed the bridge reunion did ‘scare’ them as they said they were ‘all worried for a minute’.
