Simon Cowell has been slammed for the comments he made as one of the Britain’s Got Talent acts pulled out during the live semi-final.
Last night’s (26 April) show was thrown into a bit of chaos as Ant and Dec had to navigated two changes to the schedule.
The pro presenters were forced to think on their feet as both Teddy Magic and The Blackouts were delayed in taking to the stage.

Only youngster Teddy ended up never delivering his act at all as it was later announced he would not be performing.
But when it was initially announced by Ant that the eight-year-old wasn’t ‘quite ready’, both the live audience and viewers weren’t impressed with Cowell’s reaction.
The BGT head judge didn’t quite play along with the host’s improv.

After a lengthy introduction to set him up, the confusion began as Teddy didn’t appear, leading to Ant confirming: “Now, Teddy isn’t quite ready backstage yet… so we’re just going to chat to you judges.”

And Dec added: “We’re going to have a little change of plan.”
“Just while he gets himself ready and composed backstage,” Ant clarified.
But as this ‘chat’ began, Cowell doubled-down: “Wait, so the act’s not ready?”
The presenters confirmed the youngster needed some more time as the judge said: “Well, that’s okay, it’s live.”
And Ant played in to it as he slammed: “He’s only eight years old, so back off.”

Yet while he tried to go over it, fans still believe Cowell was p**sed off as he said: “It’s fine, it’s fine. If he’s not ready, he’s not ready.”
By this point, the crowd were booing him and he couldn’t seem to believe it.
“You’ve got to be ready, we’re fine,” Cowell added as Ant repeated: “He’s got to get ready.”

But fans on Twitter slammed the judge as they wrote: “Give Teddy a break Simon. He’s obviously got nervous.”

It was later announced in the show that Teddy wouldn’t be performing as the presenters said: “Unfortunately, Teddy won’t be performing tonight but we hope to see him later in the series.”
Many were concerned for the youngster as they said they were ‘getting worried’ and hope he is ‘ok’.
And others made the obvious joke about the magician: “Well Teddy the magician is definitely the best act tonight… He’s f**king disappeared.
“Blinding performance. 10/10.”
Some people also don’t quite agree that Cowell was annoyed though as one wrote: “He just seemed confused about what was going on, Ant and Dec reiterated that Teddy wasn't ready, Simon Cowell said he 'got' it, and the crowd booed him for no reason.”
