The Boys season five may only be two episodes in, but three major deaths have already been majorly hinted at by the confirmed episode titles.

The final season of The Boys has debuted to an overwhelmingly positive response, debuting to a near-perfect 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Controversial as ever the first episode even managed to sneak in a Charlie Kirk reference in the opening ten seconds, but that is not what most have been focusing on from the first two episodes released.

The most talked about moment from the first batch of episodes released was actually the death of a major character, and it’s incredibly unlikely that they stop there.

Warning: Spoilers and possible spoilers ahead for The Boys season five

The first episode of season five sees A-Train’s life come to an end at the hands of Homelander, but creator Eric Kripke has confirmed that numerous characters will die this season.

Speaking about calling Jessie T Usher to inform him of his character’s death, Kripke told Nerdist: “It’s a really hard phone call to say, ‘Your number’s up in the first episode.’

“Without spoiling too much, that was not the only time that season I had to make that call. And it was hard every single time.”

Of those characters who didn’t make it through the whole season, fans think they’ve figured out that Mother’s Milk, Kimiko, and Frenchie might be all going in the same episode.

This is because the now confirmed episode titles for the series includes episode seven, The Frenchman, The Female-and the Man Called Mothers Milk.

The original line-up of The Boys could be missing 60% of its living participants by the end of episode 7 (Prime Video)

One fan quoted this post with a devastated meme, saying: “if they kill kimiko, frenchie and mm all in one go…”

Another post said: “the name of episode 7... there's no way they're gonna kill three people in a single ep.”

On Reddit fans concurred that it wasn’t looking good for the trio of heroes, with one comment saying: “Oh they are all gonna die with a title like that.”

Others speculated that, by the end of the show, the series was going to return to a storyline closer to the comics in which Butcher becomes the final villain and first strangles Mother’s Milk before killing Frenchie and Kimiko with a bomb.

Hughie however kills Butcher in the end, something fans are speculating will happen at the end of the series.

Speaking about the final season, Butcher actor Karl Urban told Variety about season five: “Every season, but particularly this season, from episode one, you’re like, oh wow.

“Nobody is safe. Fatalities right from the get-go. Let’s go! Last season! It’s all on!”

The Boys season five episodes one and two are available to stream now on Prime Video.
