A fan of The Inbetweeners has shared a movie that's shockingly similar to the show with the same cast members and the same director.
Before we get into it though, isn't it mad that the iconic programme aired on E4 for just two years (2008 to 2010) but still managed to have such a massive impact on British culture?
Alongside the two films - The Inbetweeners Movie in 2011 and The Inbetweeners 2 in 2014 - the highly quotable sitcom remains a comedy classic.

Despite fans constantly begging for a third film, it seems that a 2018 movie slipped right under the radar.
The film stars Joe Thomas, who played Simon Cooper on the Channel 4 series, and it's even directed by Iain Morris, the creator and writer of the show.
Titled The Festival, you can take a look at the trailer below:
The movie centres around a dude named Nick (Joe Thomas) who gets dumped by his girlfriend Caitlin, played by Hannah Tointon.

OG fans will remember that Tointon played Tara Brown in The Inbetweeners, Simon’s girlfriend in the third and final season. And the pair have actually been together irl since 2010.
But back to the plot, Nick is then persuaded by his mate Shane (Hammed Animashaun) to attend a music festival to help him move on.
When he gets there he, of course, runs in to Caitlin - and it's pure mayhem from then on in.

After watching the film, a fan of the Channel 4 series is saying that it's 'absolutely Simon' playing the new character.
Taking to Reddit, one person said: "While the film came out in 2018, and so Joe Thomas is a bit older, it’s absolutely Simon to me.
"Or more specifically, the film is how I could imagine Simon in his third year of uni/just after.
"Simon is probably the Inbetweener I can imagine making friends the most easily, and the best friend in the film is the sort of nerdy but likeable guy that you could imagine Simon being friends with.

"Even the plot is very Simon - his mate specifically wants to see an artist he loves at the festival, while Joe Thomas is desperately chasing after a girl he sleeps with after a drunken/drugged up night at the beginning of the festival.
"Plus, in true Simon fashion, he’s getting over a break-up and his ex is also at the festival."
It's hard to argue with theory.

The fan also notes that even 'Richard' (Theo Barklem-Biggs) from the first The Inbetweeners movie is in it too.
Who needs a third film, ey?
