Before Depp’s relationship with Paradis, he dated model Kate Moss between 1994 and 1998. The same year his relationship with Moss ended, he met French singer Paradis while shooting for a Roman Polanski movie in Paris. They were a couple for almost 15 years and had children together before the relationship eventually ended in June 2012. The pair “amicably” split and Depp provided Paradis with a settlement of half of his wealth even though they were not married. 

Recently, Depp has received widespread public attention due to his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, whom he married in 2015 after meeting on the set of The Rum Diary in 2009.

Actor Ellen Barkin has also recently commented on her connection to Depp, but has said that their relationship was “sexual” and not “romantic,” in a statement for the defamation court case against Amber Heard. Barkin first became close friends with Depp in 1994 when they worked on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas together.
