Johnny Depp’s relationship with ex-girlfriend and model Kate Moss, has been brought back into the limelight following her reportedly being rumoured to testify against claims made by Amber Heard that Depp pushed Moss down the stairs whilst on holiday in Jamaica.
The 48-year-old supermodel dated Depp in a short-lived relationship from 1994 to 1997, proving to be one of the most publicised relationships of the 90s.
After Heard alluded to rumours during the defamation trial that Depp had once pushed his model ex-girlfriend down the stairs, Moss will reportedly testify that Depp in fact ‘caught her and tended to her’ after she accidentally slipped due to wearing flip flops whilst on holiday, according to the Daily Mail.
Why did the Pair Split Up?
It seems as though Johnny and Kate had a somewhat loving and caring relationship, so why did the pair go their separate ways in the late 90s?

In 1998, Mr Depp addressed the reason for the couple's split in an exclusive interview with Hello magazine. He said that “I have been so stupid because we had so much going for our relationship. I’m the one who has to take responsibility for what happened - I was difficult to get on with, I let my work get in the way and I didn’t give her the attention I should have.”
Heard brought up an alleged incident from March 2015, where she claimed she “instantly” thought of “Kate Moss and stairs” when she recounted a fight where Miss Heard had swung for Mr Depp in fear that he was going to push her sister down the stairs. This comes after Heard testified earlier in the trial that she “didn’t assault Johnny, ever” throughout the course of their relationship.
The defamation trial against Heard began on 11th April 2022 and has entered its final week this week, scheduled to be concluded on the 27th May.
