Area 51 is the most mysterious secret base and it's fuelled conspiracy theories for decades.
I mean, the top-secret military site is so top-secret that it's tucked away in the Nevada desert, with the government only acknowledging its existence in 2013.
It has since been the centre of UFO rumours, alien studies, and all things extraterrestrial. Whatever it is, Area 51 remains a mystery, and, so much so, a couple of enthusiasts in the US have found themselves getting 'deeper than anyone's ever got'.

YouTube channel EWU Bodycam has shared the moment two people were fined $640 (£489) for getting too close.
And viewers were able to witness the apparent first-ever bodycam footage from inside Area 51 when a man and woman were caught in the sandy surroundings.
"I mean, yes, I've been on this road before, you're about the deepest that anybody's ever gotten," a police officer is heard telling the duo, as one of them replies: "Honestly we got really nervous at this distance."

The incident took place in late August in 2022 when a Lincoln County Nevada Deputy was dispatched to a restricted location surrounding area 51 in reference to a trespassing incident.
After approaching the couple, the deputy reads them their rights as he detains them for trespassing.
However, the man who got caught was brutally honest with the officer, telling him: "I'll stay honest with you, we're driving, we stopped in the cafe, we bought some souvenirs, I asked the guy 'hey can you see the gate?'.

After getting directions, the man realised he was lost, adding: "Honestly, we've got to that water area where it looks like there should be cows there, we were like okay, we should not be taking a car here and at that point we were looking for a place turn around."
Viewers were pleasantly surprised with the way both parties respectfully communicated with each other as the pair were issued a citation for trespassing on military installation in Lincoln County.
They were given a court date but did not have to appear if they payed the fine.

In the comments, some people thought they got off lightly.
While one person wrote: "I bet that cop was ecstatic when he got the call that he’d be going into Area 51."
"The level of respect and civility between all parties is amazing. The professionalism is a credit to the police officer and the security is to be commended," a second said.
"Great interaction, polite and kind conversation, understanding from both parties. Couldn’t have gone better," a third penned, as another agreed: "That has to be the kindest, most gentlemanly police officer ever.
