There are surely only so many life-changing hangovers you can have in your life, and I'd have thought three would be enough. But if Zach Galifianakis has anything to do with it, there could be another one brewing.
You might not even have been old enough to drink when it was released, but that didn't make 2009's The Hangover any less funny.
We've all seen films or TV shows about dealing with the disastrous aftermath of drinking, but none did it quite like the original Hangover, when Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha headed to Vegas and consequently found themselves wrapped up in all kinds of chaos.

The response to the movie naturally prompted a sequel, which became one of the most successful comedies of all time, but given that there's really only so much you can do while intoxicated, viewers started to get a bit tired of the storylines by the time the third instalment arrived in 2013.
As a result, the friends haven't been involved in any tiger thefts, kidnappings or gold heists since, but that doesn't necessarily mean their story is over.
In an interview with Extra ahead of Galifianakis' new movie Ron’s Gone Wrong, the actor approached the subject of a fourth Hangover film and admitted that it wasn't entirely out of the question.

In Galifianakis' mind, the film could go ahead - just in an entirely different style.
When asked what it would take to get a fourth film made, the actor responded: "Maybe if they made it a Pixar version… a really nice family-friendly version.”
“I don’t know," he continued, before admitting that no one 'has been thinking' about the prospect of another instalment. Apart from him, that is.

“I’ve written a lot of it, but I sent it to the other guys, they sent me videos of them burning it," he joked.
Obviously a 'family-friendly' version of The Hangover would be a big U-turn from what we've seen of the franchise so far, but I guess it's not impossible. Maybe instead of alcohol, it could be about crashing off a huge sugar binge?
Regardless, it seems like unless Galifianakis' Pixar idea somehow gets the green-light, we might have to rely on re-watches of the old films to get a fix of the hungover group.
That's apparently what the cast do, as Galifianakis said they 'just reminisce' about the experience as well as sending each other the occasional 'weird' group text.

What I wouldn't give to be involved in that chat.
