Pornhub released a video called its 'dirtiest porn ever' - but it's not what you think it is.
Granted, the adult website is known for one thing and one thing only, so when you hear the phrases such as 'triple-X dirty' and 'dirtiest porn ever' we can see why your mind might go straight to the gutter.
However, the video was part of a campaign with a very important message behind it.

The clip opens with amateur couple Leolulu strolling down a beach together before getting frisky with each other on the sand.
"At Pornhub we have a motto, the dirtier the better," appears on-screen.
"But even for us there's a limit."

The teaser video - from 2019 - then cuts to a beach covered in single-use plastic and rubbish, revealing that the video has been made to raise awareness about the impact plastic pollution is having on our beaches.
We're also treated to images of injured or deceased marine life, as an on-screen caption states that 'over six million tons of waste wash up on our shores each year'.
According to The New York Post, the couple then begin their X-rated activities on the beach - after all, this is pornhub we're talking about - while a clean-up wearing suits featuring a 'Pornhub Cares' logo get to work picking up the litter.

After all the litter is cleared up from the beach, viewers can watch the couple without the obstruction of of plastic bags, empty water bottles and general detritus - with every viewing seeing the adult content site donating to Ocean Polymers.
That's right folks, we are now at the stage of capitalism where you can contribute to looking after our planet by watching porn. We're not even joking here.
Now the match-up between a non-profit organisation which works in cleaning up our oceans and the world's biggest adult content platform might seem bizarre, but Heather Wigglesworth, executive director of Ocean Polymers, hoped the partnership would allow them to reach a new target audience.

"The initiative and support from Pornhub is inspired and appreciated. Whilst I'm sure for some it may not initially appear like the most obvious match for our project, we are thrilled that Pornhub has engaged with us and displayed a commitment to utilising their voice and reach for positive action," she said at the time.
"We are all part of the problem and must work together to find solutions. This is a brand with significant global reach spanning all demographics, so it is a very effective platform to raise awareness and support for the crisis we face in our oceans today. It would be great to see more companies of this size and stature taking the same responsibility with the audience they engage."
So there you have it; you can now clean up the ocean, one w**k at a time...
