A woman has sparked a massive debate after standing for an 'entire seven-hour flight'.
Nowadays, it seems anything can provoke an online discussion, with just about any given comment likely to have people on TikTok and Twitter at each other’s throats.
Where this debate started, however, is due to people arguing over ‘why’ it was she didn’t want to sit down for the flight.

The post appeared on TikTok, with the user @envisionaries posting a video of an unidentified blonde woman stood bolt upright in the aisle of a plane.
Text overlaying the video reads: “Lady stood on my flight for the entire seven-hour duration watching her movie.”
Envisionaries, whose actual name is Dr Richard Duong, clarified that the passenger did sit down when instructed by the seatbelt light.

Otherwise, the user said she stood for the 'entire flight', as shown by the video cutting to the cabin in pitch darkness and her outline still clearly standing.
Viewers took to the comments to debate over why she might be standing.
One popular comment said: “I wish this was more socially acceptable and that we had room to stand in between the seats bc sitting down for several hours honestly hurts.”
Another replied to that saying: “I get restless legs especially on red eyes being overtired and it's so insanely uncomfortable.”

Of course, at least one kn*bhead chose to tell them they were wrong, as with anything on the internet, but the comments were also full of people with various medical conditions who completely disproved this.
One commenter said: “I have fibromyalgia and I would have to stand for most of the flight otherwise I’m in agony.”
Another wrote: “She might have back pain or problems with her veins. She’s staying healthy.”

Someone else added: “As someone with a broken tailbone, understood.”
Many of the comments related to the idea that having back or neck pain on a flight makes it near-impossible to sit down for hours at a time.
The Spine-Institute of America’s first recommendation for dealing with pain during a flight is to ‘get up and move’.
It goes on to say it can ‘help you avoid the pain and stiffness that tend to accompany sitting in the same position for extended periods’.

And one user penned: “She could have no issues at all and just wanted to stand. That’s her business.”
Alas, it appears that Dr Richard Duong didn’t go up and speak to her, so we’ll never know exactly why.
