An influencer has gone viral after revealing the unusual trick she used to find a place to stay while being 'homeless'.
The housing market is no joke. Unless you're lucky enough to afford your own place, most of us will spend our 20s at the mercy of landlords and never-ending rent increases.
And don't even get me started on the nightmare of even finding a place to rent.

Which is why content creator and OnlyFans model Emily Webb, who resides in the Gold Coast in Australia, previously came up with a rather inventive solution to renting an apartment.

Her solution to being between homes? Hitting up men on dating apps in hopes of finding a place to crash.
In a TikTok post which went viral last year, Emily explained that she was homeless at the time but using apps such as Hinge to match with dates and stay over at their place. "I can’t believe I’ve been wasting my money on rent all this time," she told her followers.

"Life hack: if you’re hot, don’t ever pay rent."
The inventive solution has of course divided people online, as viewers debated both the ethics and the safety of meeting up with strangers online and staying over at their place.
"This is the worst advice ever. she should be banned from all social media. literally wtf," one person commented, while a second added: "This is a very dangerous game you're playing..."

Emily would later clarify in an interview with News.com.au that she had resorted to the unconventional measure after struggling to secure a rental, despite offering to pay an entire year upfront.
"I’ve offered to pay rent six and 12 months in advance and still had no luck," she told the outlet, adding that she also stays with her friends several nights a week.

"I have so many friends on the Gold Coast, but I don’t want to overstay my welcome or be a burden, but I don’t mind being a burden to random men.
"It is good not paying rent. The places I’m looking at are around [AU] $1,000 (£520) and I’m saving so much," she added, joking that "hot people shouldn't have to pay rent."
Fortunately it looks like Emily has since been able to secure more stable accommodation, as most of her recent posts on social media appear to be taken from the same apartment.
