One day you're happily tucking into your Costa Coffee sausage bap, and the next, you notice that there's one whole sausage missing.
Eh?
It's not a mistake, unfortunately. Customers have been left absolutely seething after the coffee chain reduced the number of sausages in its baps from four to three.

But the price remains the same, with the sarnie setting you back £3.75.
With the sandwich being hugely popular, people have started to notice that it's feeling a little lighter.
Costa has spoken out about the lack of porkies, but not everyone is happy with the reason they've given.

In fact, many people are taking to social media to call them out.
After one customer shared a photo of his three-sausage sandwich, questioning why he was one sausage down but had paid the same price, Costa provided an explanation.
They wrote: "Hey! Having listened to customer feedback, we’ve improved the sausages used in our breakfast rolls and they’re now bigger than the sausages we had been using.
"As a result, we can only fit 3 in a roll now."

But people aren't entirely happy, with one claiming that they could definitely fit four in if they wanted to.
Meanwhile, consumer rights expert, Martyn James added: “I’m just not buying the ‘three bigger sausages’ line here.
“The problem with having a successful product is people notice when you tinker with it. So there was no way regular shoppers were going to fail to spot the mystery of the missing sausage.”

A Costa Coffee spokesperson told LADbible: “We changed our sausage bap recipe following feedback from our store teams re: operational challenges during the cooking process - the fourth sausage was falling out the bap.
"We’ve moved from 4 smaller sausages, replacing it with 3 bigger sausages to fit the bap neatly for a more even cook and enjoyable experience.
"This has resulted in a small change in the weight of the overall bap, under 5g.”

Just last week, the coffee chain increased its prices at its popular Express machines.
The chain has increased its prices by 5p, with a spokesperson explaining that the changes 'reflect ongoing challenges faced by many retailers'.
They added: "We understand that any change in pricing can be challenging for our customers and strive to provide the best experience and quality products for our customers on-the-go, whilst rewarding our Costa Club members with amazing discounts and exclusive offers.”
While a regular latte or cappuccino will cost £3.05 or £3.35 for a large, customers will be charged £3.50 if they want to add a syrup such as vanilla or caramel.
Meanwhile, an Americano is priced at £2.80 for a regular and £3 for a large.
One customer said on X: "That's @CostaCoffee put the prices of the Costa Express coffees up YET AGAIN!"
