The man who is attempting to drink 2,000 pints in 200 days has revealed the most he has managed to drink in a single day.
Those of you who are interested in maths will have noticed that Jon May’s stated aim was to drink 10 pints per day, which is no mean feat in itself.
However, with two days left, the TikToker only has 11 pints left to consume, meaning he has been staying well ahead of the run rate during his mammoth undertaking.

It’s at this stage that we should say that we in no way recommend drinking this much beer – it’s definitely not recommended by any health professionals out there, nor is it great for the wallet, either.
For more information, there’s loads of sites - like this one - about responsible drinking.
However, the story of how Jon has been drinking his way through that load for the past 190-odd days has clearly captured the public interest, and – as he nears the end of his Herculean effort – we spoke with him about some of the specifics of that journey.

First off, the whole thing started because of another creator’s claim that he’d drink 1,000 pints, which clearly sounded pathetic to Jon.
He set himself the challenge, and has been keeping track of his drinking since then.
There have been ups and downs throughout, and he admits it hasn’t always been easy – from a health and finance perspective – but overall he has no regrets.
As for the heaviest session in that time, he recalls one particularly daft day.

Asked about the most pints he’s managed to chalk up across a single day, he told us: “25 – and I ended up in a bush that night.
“It was about two months ago – about day 103, I think – and one of my friends sent me a text saying did I want to come to Wetherspoons [sic] for like nine o’clock.
“’Yeah, sure [I said].

“Then we were just drinking from nine o’clock until about two o’clock in the morning.
“Woke up the next day and went to the pub at about 12.”
Now, you might be thinking that you’d have a seriously thick head after that level of session, but Jon says he doesn’t have to worry about hangovers.
“I don’t get those,” he continued.

In fact, after he finishes the challenge he’s going straight out on the drink again the next day, before finally taking a well-earned break for a week or so.
There’s still 11 pints left to go before then, though.
The remaining pints are set to be consumed tomorrow in a pub called The Market Tavern in Atherstone, as they’ve kindly offered to sponsor Jon’s efforts.
If you find yourself in the area tomorrow, pop down for a pint or 11.
