McDonald's announces completely new burger as part of summer menu

The new summer additions look banging to be fair

Maccies are gearing up for summer with a new-look menu and eight cheeky dishes to choose from.

Along with a brand-new burger, we'll also be getting some crowd-pleasers and fan-favourites returning to the menu.

The three-patty concoction has been introduced just in time for the Euros, as McDonald's say it's 'for when scoring once just isn’t enough'.

Brits will, of course, be hoping Gareth Southgate's lads can finally go all the way this year, with a squad full of footballing-talent.

Meanwhile, there's a couple new shareboxes, which are perfect for 'pre-match motivation or post-match pick me up'.

Here's the summer menu:

McDonald’s Chicken Sharebox - £10.59

This new sharebox looks pretty mega as it includes six Chicken Selects, twelve Chicken McNuggets, plus two McNuggets dips and two Selects dips.

9 Chicken Select Sharebox - £8.49

Or if you just fancy Selects, there's a new nine Chicken Selects Sharebox.

Mozzarella Bites with a Rich Tomato Dip - £2.39

The bites have a warm and gooey centre encased in a golden crispy coating.

Unless you have lactose intolerance, what's not to love?

It's also paired with a rich tomato dip.

The Hat Trick £5.89 / Medium Meal - £7.69

This new burger includes three 100 percent beef patties, with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup all in a glazed sesame seed bun.

Skittles McFlurry - £2.19

Here, you've got the classic soft dairy ice cream swirled with chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugary pearls.

This will be topped with purple Skittles-flavoured sauce, which sounds intriguing.

Galaxy Caramel McFlurry - £2.19

Again, soft dairy ice cream swirled with Galaxy Chocolate pieces and topped with Galaxy Caramel Chocolate sauce.

Maccies fans will be delighted with this return to the menu.

Iced Latte - £2.49

This is returning to the menu for when you want to cool down in the summer heat.

Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie - £1.99

While this might sound a bit sickly, it's definitely something different to try.

You'll get a combination of chocolate and sweet fruit in a crispy chocolate pastry filled with chocolate ganache and a raspberry compote.

The summer menu will be come out on 29 May.

Now, have you ever noticed that McDonald's Coke actually 'tastes better than anywhere else'.

Food scientist Abby Thiel revealed the reason behind this, telling Parade: “Soft drink producers will usually have their own water supplier or a filtration system to increase the quality of water.

“Most often, chlorine is removed as it can result in a ‘disinfectant’ taste, the water hardness will be adjusted since it affects the acidity of the drink, and iron will be removed to limit colour and flavour defects.

“Without this treatment, the end result is a Coke that has off-flavors and aromas due to low-quality, inconsistent water.”

McDonald's says there’s ‘many reasons’, but primarily because it follows the guidelines set by the drinks company and ‘take steps to ensure that it serves a high-quality fountain beverage’.
