Swingers explain important rules usually followed by couples in non-monogamous lifestyle

Bella and Jase, who have been swingers for over a decade, have shared some of the most common swinger rules on TikTok

A married couple, who spill all the juicy details about the swinging lifestyle on social media, have shared some of the golden rules that a lot of monogamous couples live by.

High school sweethearts Bella and Jase have been in the swinging lifestyle for more than a decade and regularly go on 'spicy cruises,' where singles and couples go to enjoy sensual experiences onboard a luxury cruise ship.

The pair, who even founded their own swinging website 4ourplay, are on a mission to normalise non-traditional relationships and regularly share educational content on what life is really like as a swinging couple.

In a previous series on TikTok, Bella and Jase went through some of the golden rules that a lot of couples choose to implement to keep their relationship on track while experimenting with others.

"Some common rules that you may come across in the swinging lifestyle, and this definitely just depends couples to couple, every couple have their own set of rules and boundaries that's best for them. These are just some that you might come across," Bella explained.

Quickly rolling through some of the most common rules, she added: "So, same room only, use of protection, no climaxing with the other partner and group communication only, so if you're all together texting and messaging, it has to be either in a group text or sometimes its same sex communication only."

In a subsequent video, Jase said another common rule is 'equal play,' which means that 'everyone in the group is getting equal amounts of attention.'

"Another rule is no kissing above the neck, so maybe on the body is fine, but for some people, kissing lips is too intimate," Jase continued.

Meanwhile, some swinger couples opt for what is known as 'soft swap,' where people will swap partners but only oral sex is performed with no penetration involved.

Another common rule, the couple say, is where people request evidence of a recent STI test to prove there's no risk of passing anything on between the couples.

One rule the couple listed, which they happen to follow themselves, is no 'taking one for the team.' In a follow up video, they explained that this means when one person in a couple wants to 'play' with someone from another couple, so their partner engages with the other half of the person's couple even though they don't really want to.

Both Bella and Jase regularly speak about the importance of knowing each others boundaries, so it makes sense as to why so many rules are needed when it comes to non-monogamous relationships.
