A couple were left fuming over the one detail which spoiled their 'perfect' holiday - and that's how much they'd have to shell out for prawns at a restaurant.
Dean and Kerry Cadywould's favourite holiday destination would seem to be Lanzarote considering they've been going there for around 10 years, but this time they got a seafood surprise they didn't enjoy.
The couple, from Leigh-on-sea, Essex, were in Playa Blanca when they headed down to the seaside restaurant of Casa Pedro after a 'perfect' day of travelling around the island.

However, things started to go wrong when Dean asked the waiter whether they had any prawns as those are his wife's favourite.
This being Lanzarote, you might expect that the restaurant could just send someone onto the beach to stick their hand into the water and draw back a fistful of prawns, and they did indeed have a prawn dish.
However, when the time came to order Dean came to regret the decision which left him fuming and demanding a refund.

See, when their food was plonked onto the table the couple were furious to discover their meal was just five king prawns, eight potatoes and some bread.
Even worse, there was 'hardly any meat' on the prawns once their shells had been prised off.
The final blow was when the couple got their bill and realised the meal they'd ordered was priced at €125 (£106), meaning they'd shelled out over £20 for each prawn on their plate.
Unhappy at forking over such a fee, Dean ended up going back to demand a refund and thought that the €40 the restaurant offered wasn't enough.

He now reckons the restaurant is taking advantage of tourists but in their own defense, they pointed out how the prawns on their menu were carabineros - which are more like lobsters in how they taste.
"We asked for the bill, they brought it over and it's for €137. My wife's face dropped," balloon shop owner and magician Dean said.
"I said 'what's wrong?' She said, 'it's €137'. The prawns weren't worth €25 nevermind €125.

"[The owner] came over and said 'Yes, I know, sorry they're expensive'. We got home, I put it on Facebook and someone said the price has to be displayed.
"I went marching back there. I was that incensed, I was furious. I just felt cheated, he knew exactly what he was doing.
"It just takes advantage of tourists. We'd had an amazing day, an amazing holiday, and it 100% ruined our night."
The restaurant unfortunately has a number of one-star reviews on Google, with many complaining about the price and specifically the prawns.
