A plane passenger who dozed off on their flight and woke up to find someone had drawn all over their feet ended up with people telling them it was their fault.
If you're on a flight for the long haul then pretty much nobody would blame you for deciding to visit the land of nod and essentially skip several hours of your journey.
However, one passenger who did that realised that one of their socks had been turned into a child's personal canvas while they were asleep.

Posting a video to Instagram about it to say 'I woke up to some random kid drawing on my white socks', they might have been hoping for some sympathetic responses.
Instead they got a torrent of comments from people saying it was really all their fault because they'd stuck their feet where they weren't welcome.
One important thing to note is that this passenger had taken off their shoes and rested their feet on the armrest of the seat in front of them.

It turns out people really didn't like either of these things and the common theme among the complaints seemed to be that the passenger had taken off their shoes, exposing their socks to the ravages of a young artistic mind armed with a felt-tip pen, and sticking their feet into someone else's space.
Waking up on a plane to find that someone's child has been drawing on your while you were asleep is one thing, to take your shoes off and stick your feet in someone else's personal space is quite another.
One person said it was the passenger's fault as their 'foot shouldn't of been there in their space', while a second said 'she did that whole plane a service by giving that kid an activity'.
"Keep your socks inside of your shoes. This is public transportation, not your personal spa day," was another response, and someone else agreed that it 'wouldn't have happened if you kept your shoes on and feet down'.

There really was not a lot of sympathy for the unintentional canvas as others judged that by sticking their feet into another passenger's space it 'became their paper'.
Others just expressed a bit of jealousy that someone was able to fall into a deep enough sleep on a plane that they failed to notice someone drawing on their feet.
A few did say that maybe someone should have told the kid that whatever the rudeness of a stranger's unshod foot invading their armrest space, drawing on it was probably not the best idea.

So there you go, if you want to doze off on a plane keep your shoes on and your feet in your own space or a child will draw on you and basically nobody will think you didn't get what you deserved.
