There's a 'magic seat' you can book on Ryanair flights that gives you 'practically unlimited leg room'

Apparently this is the cheat code for not paying extra for the seat

By this time of year, it’s likely we’ve all been on a trip we made the odd sacrifice on to save some cash.

Perhaps you agreed to share a room with the entire group chat in a hostel so you had more money to spend on booze or maybe you agreed to a staycation to save on travel costs.

Or, and let’s be honest we all know the pain of this, you went with the most budget travel option possible to spare extra pennies for the actual trip.

You know exactly what I’m talking about - travelling to the (often further away) airport with minimal baggage and boarding a Ryanair flight.

It’s not exactly a secret that the airline has less comfortable seats than others but it turns out there’s a ‘magic’ one to save you a little hassle.

OK, so it’s not magical like the Dynamo kind or something out of Disneyland, but it is in the sense that it gives you ‘practically unlimited legroom’.

And no, it’s not one of Ryanair’s special extra legroom seats.

It appears that if you’re on the Boeing 737-Max 8200 aircraft, the 29A seat is this magic one. That’s because seat layout changes dependent on the plane itself.

The seats in this row are right by an emergency exit and don’t have passenger seats in front and while seat 29F apparently has a ‘crew jumpseat opposite’, 29A is much more free.

A user on the Flyertalk forum wrote: “As someone who was lucky enough to be randomly allocated 29A on a flight not long ago, the virtually unlimited legroom was definitely appreciated!”

Another wrote that as a ‘tall guy’ they will ‘definitely opt’ for this seat with ‘extra leg room’ without the added premium cost.

And it’s certainly a popular seat to end up in, as one X user wrote: “I might be the jammiest non-priority customer ever to fly with @Ryanair 29A [handshake emoji].”

Another called the seat ‘business class Ryanair style’ as they described it as ‘bliss’.

Others labelled it the ‘cheat code’ as they said it’s the ‘surprise bonus legroom seat’ that ‘feels like a win’ to end up sitting in.

Oh, and if you are flying with Ryanair any time soon, it’s probably worth making sure you’re aware of the hand luggage rules. Because, you know, it would be a shame to end up spending all that money you thought you’d ‘saved’.
