Brits wanting to get away in June, July or August have been given a deadline of when to book their holiday by - so listen up.
Many of us are itching to escape from this lukewarm weather storm we've been getting over the past couple of months, but are yet to take any action.

Best dates to fly in summer 2024
According to Expedia, holidaymakers are being advised not to wait too long to book.

That goes for a city break, beach trip or a holiday resort.
The cheapest days to fly abroad, they say, are 2 June, 13 June and 28 August.
Also, the least busy days to book, if you want a bit of peace and quiet at the airport, are 10 June, 11 July and 19 July.
Expedia recommended that you should book no later than 8 June, as a guide.

Notably, the most expensive days to fly out of the country are 22 July, 23 July and 29 July.

If you can, it's always worth booking your trip on a Wednesday or Thursday, rather than flying on the weekend.

You can save around 15 percent on flights and rooms if you're able to get your annual leave before Friday.
A spokesperson for Vrbo said earlier this year: "We've all experienced the disappointment of finding the perfect home for your trip with family or friends – complete with huge pool, high spec kitchen/dining space and the right number of bedrooms – only to find it fully booked for the dates you need to travel.
"To avoid this, we recommend travellers add Vrbo’s book-by dates to 2024 diaries to make sure they get the best holiday home for their trips this year."

Economist Gonzalo Bernandos says there has been a sharp rise in hotel prices in the country.

Bernardos told the Daily Express: “In the first quarter we have set an all-time record in relation to any other year.
“And this is because we were coming from a spectacular year such as 2023.
"This resurgence has led to a highly competitive market, particularly benefiting hoteliers.
"The summer looks fantastic for hoteliers.
“It looks very bad for those who have not already booked a holiday flat or hotel because they are going to pay a lot more for it.”
