A former flight attendant has revealed one of her biggest issues with passengers during her career working in the skies.

Mandy Smith used to be an essential part of cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic. Holding the role for more than 12 years, she has now dished the details on what her career in this industry was like.

In doing so, Mandy has revealed some rather unique insights in to the life of cabin crew.

And yes, the goss is juicy, as this includes when passengers p****d her off the most.

She's not the first to divulge their personal annoyances when it comes to behaviour on a flight, with two flight attendants telling of the 'disrespectful' mannerisms to avoid like the plague.

Then there's the secret codes flight attendants use when they fancy a passenger as well as the real reason you'll greeted when you step foot on the plane along with everybody else.

Sitting down with LADbible TV this week, Mandy was asked what are the most annoying or ignorant habits of airplane passengers in the latest episode of Honesty Box.

"Because we travel to so many very different countries, there are a lot of different cultures and religions," Mandy said.

"So, if you've got somebody at the back of the cabin who's got a prayer mat out, and they're trying to pray, or, you know, anything like that, then please don't disturb them.

"Because they're going to have to start the whole thing again."

Mandy continued on a similar theme: "Things like that, but also, it's just working with humans. Unfortunately, you are not always going to meet nice humans.

"But I would say, 99 percent of people are nice, so that's good, but it's that... one percent that tend to be people that could be racist or whatever."

Mandy then explained a bizarre situation where one customer expected to be upgraded for being an open bigot.

She said: "I've had the similar situation myself, where I've had somebody sat next to somebody of a different colour that they didn't want to be sat next to.

"So, they would kick off and expect to be upgraded.

"As a manager... I went over there at the time, and just said - 'I'm sorry we don't accept any kind of racism. We have zero tolerance policies here at Virgin, so, I would like to upgrade the other gentleman now, and you can stay there'."

She's bang on, as well. There's no room for bigots in any walk of life, and the idea that some believe they could be rewarded for being openly racist is baffling.

Here's to you, Mandy.
