Going on holiday is supposed to represent a well-deserved break from work, along with nice bit of sunshine.
But often we forget that not everyone on holiday has gone abroad for the same reason.
Some people are away with their kids or even their grandparents, while others tend to travel with their partners - and there are always those who are there for work.

Either way, there's this hope we have that everyone on holiday can just be civil, which isn't always the case.
That's why retail site Northerner decided to do a little survey on what people find the most annoying when on holiday.
They sampled 2,000 UK adults and put together a list of what annoys them most about British people by the pool.

Almost two thirds of the survey said they get ticked off by kids going for a wee in the pool, and over half said they hate it when parents are unable to control the kids.
51 percent mentioned how annoying 'shouting' is and 49 percent agreed that 'playing music' is a big no-no.
I hope they aren't going to Ibiza, then...
Lower down the list is vaping, as 33 percent were against doing it by the pool.

And smoking was listed as number five of the most annoying habits.
Something that I personally find a bit annoying is when people are eating actual meals in the pool. I mean, there is just no need and 45 percent of the survey seemed to agree with me.

Markus Lindblad from Northerner said “With plenty of Brits flocking to their favourite holiday destinations this summer, we conducted the research to find out the biggest poolside annoyances.
"It’s been interesting to see that smoking is still one of the main annoyances for Brits abroad, especially as many holiday destinations have different laws prohibiting smoking in certain areas.
"This can easily be solved by educating holidaymakers and the other alternatives that they can take abroad, such as tobacco free snus or gum.”
