A bloke has become the first person to complete a massive £60 mixed grill challenge - a feat he accomplished in just over half an hour.
YouTuber BeardMeatsFood recently headed down to The Mountain Air in Tredegar, South Wales, to take on The Mount Mixed Grill Challenge, which had never been completed before... And you’ll see why.
The competitive eater, whose real name is Adam Moran, has become known for chowing down on scarily large portions of food, having previously demolished a £20 breakfast challenge that had defeated all others.

But even he seemed daunted by this one, noting how the pub was renowned for its ‘mighty portions’.
As staff started bringing it out, he gasped: “Woah, look at that.”
The food simply kept on coming: 160z steak, 16oz gammons, two portions of chicken, four pork steaks, two lamb chops, four jumbo sausages, four eggs, garden peas, onion rings and chips.

The gargantuan meal costs £60, but anyone who manages to polish off the whole thing gets it for free.
As staff admitted they wouldn’t be able to do it, saying they struggled with the pub’s normal mixed grill, a woman seated at a nearby table shouted over with a grin: “You won’t eat all that!”
Moran’s previous successes didn’t appear to give him confidence in the face of so much grilled meat and carby sides – saying there was one item that looked particularly scary.

“I dunno, it looks like a lot of meat,” he said.
“Look at the size of the sausages!”
The Yorkshireman’s tactic was to ask for a side of gravy to help wash it all down, saying Northern boys ‘love gravy’.

But he still began to struggle, saying nearly 17 minutes in how the salt was starting to ‘get to’ him a bit.
“The 16oz gammon steak is not helping!” Moran said, adding that he was proud to have at least ‘made a dent’ by this stage.
After 24 minutes, he knew there was ‘no turning back’, and went to tackle the sides after eating ‘most of the meat’.
“Even the chips at this point are a relief,” he said.

As Moran made his way onto the home stretch, he said it was becoming a ‘slog’, but eventually grabbed a spoon and finished off the remaining peas and, finally, the pork rind.
“Hope you enjoyed me proving an old lady wrong,” Moran said in the voiceover, as a reference to the woman on the nearby table who didn’t have faith in him.
He ended up finishing the massive platter off in 37 minutes and 19 seconds – his victory being met with a round of applause from the rest of the pub, including the 'old lady' who doubted him.
And amazingly, Moran even had space to squeeze in a bit of pudding at the end.
