Aldi to become one of only UK supermarkets to stock Prime drink

Aldi to become one of only UK supermarkets to stock Prime drink

They are being limited to one of each flavour per customer.

Prime drinks are a sensation, and they're about to land in Aldi.

The popular hydration drinks, which are the brainchild of YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, will be hitting the shelves of UK Aldi stores.

Aldi is one of just a few locations to stock the product, which is expected to sell-out.

The drinks will be an Aldi specialbuy and in a bid to keep up with customer demand, they will be limited to just one of each of the three available flavours per person.

While in some instances people have been reselling the drinks for as much as £60, they will set Aldi customers back £1.99 a bottle.

Because the drinks are a specialbuy, this means that once they have sold out, they will not be restocked, so if you want to grab a bottle, you'll have to be quick.

The drink comes from YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI.

You can get your hands on them from 29 December.

So what exactly are Prime drinks? Well, they're made up of 10 percent coconut water, electrolytes and B vitamins and BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids).

They also come with the added bonus of being sugar-free and contain just 20 calories per bottle.

There will be three flavours of the drinks available in Aldi: Blue Raspberry, Lemon and Lime, and Ice Pop.

As reported by The Sun, scenes of absolute chaos erupted in Asda stores when it stocked Prime drinks.

One staff member said back in October: "On Sunday we finally had a fresh delivery and there were about thirty kids outside before we had opened.

"At 9.30am we had a member of security outside trying to keep it all under control. As soon as the doors opened they sprinted for the energy drink aisle.

"It was chaos, they cleared the shelves within minutes and were pushing and shoving each other to get their hands on some."

Unfortunately, the popularity of the drinks means that many people have not been able to get their hands on a bottle, so hopefully Aldi is able to sort them out.

One disappointed Asda customer said: "I was really looking forward to getting some Prime, I was looking forward to it all day. I'll keep trying to get some."

A spokesman for Asda said in a statement: "Prime is available in all of our larger superstores and we are pleased that customers are enjoying it.

"We know how popular this product is and we would like to assure customers that our stores are regularly receiving stock."

Asda confirmed to LADbible that its stores which stocked the drink were receiving regular deliveries.
