A shelter dog has received a huge outpouring of love on social media after he was filmed being ignored time and time again at a shelter.
But be warned, the video will definitely make you shed a tear or two.
The six-year-old Siberian Husky named Elias was patiently waiting to be adopted but unfortunately, the pooch didn't receive any attention in the clip.
A user who goes by the name 'Stickysmithers' uploaded a video of Elias to Reddit with Adele's 'Love In The Dark' playing over the top of the original post, on Tuesday (5 September).

The post reads: "This is the life of an overlooked shelter dog. Many ppl pass kennels, taking a glance and moving onto the next. Unnoticed, forgotten.
"Adopt to save his life Elias #A764195, Male Husky, six yrs Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care Center 11780 Arrow Route Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 909-466-7387 Opn Weds-Sat 2-5p."
Elias was filmed sitting by the metal bars of his kennel at the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care Center in California, US as visitors walked by.

In the harrowing 23-second video, which was shared to the subreddit r/rescuedogs, three people appear to walk by but none of them stop.
Instead, Elias sits and quietly watches on in his kennel.
Animal lovers on Reddit were shattered by the emotional clip as they took to the comments to share their hopes that Elias will find his forever home one day.
“How sad to see this from their perspective,” one Reddit user wrote. “Damn, that really hit me. ‘Choose me, choose me, I’ll be a good boy!’”

Someone else who was left in tears after watching the clip shared: “Damn, now I’m weeping! We don’t deserve dogs and dogs don’t deserve this!”
“This breaks my heart!” said another Reddit user.
“My heart just breaks for all these dogs. It's so hard to see. Please someone help this little man,” added a commenter.
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, approximately 3.1 million dogs enter US animal shelters nationwide every year.

Tragically, it's website continues: "Each year, approximately 920,000 shelter animals are euthanised (390,000 dogs and 530,000 cats)."
However, it reassures the number of animals being euthanised in shelters has 'declined' as a result of many more animals being adopted and finding their forever homes.
