People have been poking fun at ASDA after the supermarket offered a bunch of jobs with frankly ridiculous hourly rates.
While things are really expensive right now, and there's plenty of people across the UK who could really do with a payrise, it's always handy to remember that if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
With that in mind, ASDA caused a bit of a stir recently, after they put up a bunch of jobs with pay rates of more than £20,000 an hour.

Posted yesterday (12 April), the jobs were for the roles of store assistants meaning you'd be stocking shelves, sorting out deliveries, and doing all the stuff that keeps a supermarket going.
It might not be everyone's dream job, but when some of the listings were advertising an hourly wage of up to £28,163, you could probably put aside your reservations and go for it - even if you did have to work nights.
If you had that job full time you'd be paid over £58 million a year, but before you decide that being a store assistant at ASDA is your true calling, you'll be unsurprised to know that it was actually a huge mistake.

While there were plenty of jobs advertised with incredibly high hourly wages, when you actually followed the posting through to the ASDA website, the hourly rate dropped from over £20,000 to £13.54.
The supermarket has come in for some mockery on social media for their error, with people joking that ASDA were 'really taking the increase in living wage seriously'.
Others joked that they 'could get by on that wage', though with energy bills the way they are, you'd still be cutting it a little bit close.

Not everyone who saw the unbelievable listings was so willing to see it as a good deal. One pharmacy assistant role, offering an hourly pay of £21,008, looked pretty good but as one commenter said, 'yeah but it's in Oldham'.
Someone else decided to look the gift horse in the mouth and worked out that, if you had these jobs full time, then after tax you'd be lucky to walk away with £20 million by the end of the year.
Someone else crunched the numbers and suggested that, if you took the job and successfully dodged all taxes (don't do this guys), then in 'just 4,577 years' you could catch up to the richest person in the world.
ASDA now appear to have rectified their mistake, with the lucrative listings now scrubbed from the internet.
