While the rest of the country was sleeping, one night-shift worker in Australia saw his life change before his eyes as he secured an incredible £10.7 million lottery win.
That's certainly one way to improve your workday, isn't it?

For more than a decade, the Aussie dad has been buying himself an Oz Lotto ticket and a Powerball ticket as a 'little treat' to himself after his shift, which ends in the very early hours of the morning.
At 3am on Tuesday (13 June), the worker went to buy his Powerball ticket as usual in the hope of getting lucky on the upcoming $60 million AUD (£32.3m) draw.
Before long, however, he realised he was no longer in need of that ticket. It's not a realisation I can relate to, but knowing you don't need $60 million must feel pretty good.
While at the shop, the dad learned he was already holding the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1530, meaning he'd won himself $20,000,000 AUD (£10,759,000).

“I’m still shaking,” he said after his new fortune was confirmed.
“I found out at 3am this morning after my shift. I discovered it when I went to purchase a ticket into Powerball’s $60 million draw for tomorrow night. It was such a shock.
“I don’t really need to worry about tomorrow night’s draw anymore - I’ve got $20 million! [...] I’ve got my whole family gathered around the phone right now. My wife is happy, my daughter is very happy.”

The man's daughter was over the moon to hear of his win, saying he was 'really hard working' and 'deserves the world'.
“He’s never received anything in his life," she said. “We’re so happy for him.”
The man - who has not been named - is set to receive his winnings before the end of the financial year and has some very wholesome plans for how he's going to splash the cash.

“Most importantly, I’ll help my family," he said, revealing his plans to 'share it around'.
The dad is also planning to use the money get rid of some debt, saying: “I’ve got some loans to pay off. Starting with my house mortgage."
The night-shift worker said the win had, understandably, 'brightened his day', adding: "It’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life."
It's unclear whether the man plans to stay in his current job after the epic win, but I'm sure he's very thankful for his late-night trips to buy the tickets!
