"It's getting in the van, it's getting in the van!" These aren't exactly the words you want to hear about a huntsman spider near your car.

However, that was the reality for two content creators travelling round Australia in their gap year faced. Watch what happened below:

Sharing footage of the large spiders to TikTok, fans of the couple quickly vowed not to visit down under.

TikTokers @gawnedsgapyear have shared their gap year journey with viewers as they visit around Australia, Canada, the US and UK.

It seems that the couple had visitors of their own, though, as huntsman spiders invaded their car.

They captioned their video: "How many hunstman spiders do we have living in our van??? We thought we got rid of two, only for another to return!!"

The video then shows the couple's reaction as one of the spiders climbs inside the white van.

They try and get the spiders away using a stick, with each taking turns to laugh and scream in the background.

While the pair thought they had successfully removed the spiders, the video cuts to two days later, when the spiders reappear, this time inside the van.

Yep, massive spiders on the ceiling of their van.

The man in the video catches sight of the spider saying 'you're kidding'.

He proceeds to shows his partner the returned arachnid, to which she responds: "Nah I'm not going to sleep tonight," which would be exactly our response.

She then adds: "One of us has to be brave," holding containers to catch the spiders.

The content creator manages to get the spider inside the tupperware, saying to her partner: "I'm a spider goddess."

She then takes the spider 'far, far away', noting: "There's a hundred acres here, I'm going to take it to the 99th acre."

Which we would argue isn't far enough.

Fans of the couple promptly responded to the video, with one user saying: "I will NEVER visit Australia for this reason. Petrified."

While another suggested: "Oh hell no burn the car and run!!!"

One proceeded to thank the TikToker for humanely removing the spider, adding: "Thank you for not harming them."

Another said: "I saw the size of the spider and immediately thought 'yeah I’m gonna hear Australian accents'."

While huntsman spiders aren't considered deadly to humans, they can still bite and do some pretty nasty damage.

Still, if you do come across a spider and you aren't sure if it's poisonous, contact your local authority and don't try to catch it.
