Plastering your face on billboards across the country might seem like an unorthodox way to find a partner.
However, after such a stunt, one bachelor has received over 100 applications from hopeful bachelorettes in a desperate bid to ‘save [him] from an arranged marriage’.
Mohammad Malik can be seen lying across huge billboards in both London and Birmingham with a cheeky grin on his face directing suitors to his website: Findmalikawife.com.
In a video on his page, he says: “Hi, I’m Malik. You may have seen my face on a billboard somewhere.
"I'm 29, live in la vida London. I'm an entrepreneur and a foodie and I'm religious. I am looking for someone who is working on her deen [Arabic meaning religion].
"I am open to any ethnicity but come from a loud Punjabi family, so the banter has to be 100.
"If you're interested, fill out the form and check out my details."
Explaining his reasons behind such drastic measures to find Mrs Right, Mohammad explained: "I just haven't found the right girl yet. It's tough out there. I had to get a billboard to get seen.
"My ideal partner would be a Muslim woman in her 20s, who's striving to better her deen.”
He added: "I'm an only child and look after my mom and dad. If this is a deal-breaker I don't think it'll work out."
Mohammad's profile describes him as a ‘29-year-old Muslim guy living in London’, noting he is slim and 5ft 8ins tall.
The hopeful entrepreneur was born and bred in London, but considers Birmingham his second home due to its great mosques and top-quality food.
He added: "I'm blessed because I can combine my passions for Islam and entrepreneurship in what I do for a living.
"I love food, good bants, and I know it sounds cheesy - but learning more about my own faith."
Speaking to BBC’s Asian Network about the origins of his unorthodox idea, Muhammad said: “I'm a creative and I love doing the most random and absurd things - as long as they are 100 per cent halal of course.”
He continued: “It's early days but responses thus far have been in the triple digits and from some really lovely people - keep them coming.
“I'm hoping to get in touch with women I like soon.”
Hopeful bachelorettes should know that any applications are vetted by his friends before Muhammad even gets a look in.
If he sounds like the right man for you ladies, then you have until 14 January before the billboards get taken down.
