To celebrate this summer’s big tournament being round the corner, superstar footballer Beth England, in partnership with Currys, surprised a local grassroots women’s team with a brand new LG OLED TV.

Actonians LFC are just one of the many teams that will benefit from Currys’ initiative of donating TVs to grassroots women’s football teams up and down the country as they know just how important technology is in the beautiful game. This will then help teams to watch their performances back and improve their game both tactically and technically.

The Actonians team were in awe as they saw their hero Beth England present this gift to them after their training session. The 31-year-old then decided to test out the television by analysing the team’s previous games. England’s expertise and knowledge was shared with the team in a moment that the girls will never forget. You can see the full video below.

The tournament kicks off 2nd July in Switzerland and it’s set to be highly contested and a competition filled with class. England have been drawn against France, Netherlands and home nations rivals Wales in the group stages. The England team are one of the favourites to lift the trophy following their previous success.

Beth was part of the England squad that lifted the country’s first ever women’s major tournament in 2022 after an extra-time win over historic rivals Germany. Whilst the Tottenham captain will be watching from the stands during this tournament, she’ll be cheering the team on to a potential title defence.

Throughout the tournament, Currys are offering free delivery and installation on all TVs 50” or larger. They’ll also offer free wall mounting installation for TVs 90” of larger. The LG OLED C5 TV has an Advanced α11 AI processor for 4K Upscaling for the most premium picture and sound, and has self-lit OLED evo technology for extraordinary detail and contract to show off any highlights.

You can browse all the televisions that Currys have on offer here, perfect for watching the football!
