Billie Eilish and her new boyfriend have appeared to react to the criticism of their 11-year age gap relationship with their choice of Halloween costumes.
The 'Happier than Ever' singer, 20, and Jesse Rutherford, 31, made their relationship known earlier this month when they were spotted making out in public.
However, because of their significant age gap, social media commentators were quick to slam Rutherford for dating someone so much younger than him.

One tweet read: "jesse rutherford was alive during george h w bush's presidency. billie eilish cannot legally drink [sic]."
Another added: "billie eilish cannot legally drink and jesse has known her since she was 15. gotta love hollyweird! [sic]"
While some people argued that there is nothing wrong with the age gap as Billie is now of age, others argued that the difference makes for an unfair power dynamic.

One wrote: "20 is still young enough to be vulnerable to power dynamics when dating someone in their 30s. Case by case but still more common than we'd like to let on."
TMZ added further fuel to the fire by claiming that Jesse has allegedly known Billie since she was around 15 to 16 years old.
The outlet added that while their relationship was only recently publicly confirmed, the pair have allegedly been linked romantically since August of this year.
But the pair, who were also seen holding hands at Halloween Horror Nights, decided to apparently make light of the situation by dressing up as an old man and a baby for Halloween.

Pictures of then are now circulating online, featuring Billie in a pink baby costume, complete with over the top makeup and bunny slippers, and Jesse dressed up as an old man.
He'd even added to the look with heavy wrinkled makeup and a bald cap.
But the couple's costumes also received a mixed response online too.

"That's definitely not weird at all…" remarked one critic.
Appearing to side with the couple, a second questioned: "You do realise they're making fun of y'all right?"
"At least they're aware of the age gap," wrote a third, while a fourth slammed: "This attempt at self awareness isn't cute at all."
"I mean that technically describes their relationship," wrote a fifth.

"I feel so sad for Billie Eilish," shared a sixth. "She thinks she's being big and bad and grown trolling the haters but she's just showing her immaturity and proving the point. Jesse is absolutely f**king disgusting and weird as F**K for agreeing to that costume."
LADbible has reached out to a rep of Billie Eilish for comment.
