When it comes to drivers’ parking capabilities, most people like to pipe up. If you fall into the ‘most people’ category, you might want to sit down for this one (and make sure you have a defibrillator to hand).
A BMW driver has been rinsed for their ‘shameless’ parking, and while the majority of commentators agree the driver was taking the absolute p**s, others have leapt to their defence.
In a new photo posted on Facebook, a BMW parked in a Leeds Asda can be seen sprawled across two spaces, and it’s all been kicking off in the comment section.

Sharing the image on social media, one person fumed: “BMW drivers, they have no shame.”
Another person echoed: “Taking the absolute p**s that is bad parking,” while a third chimed in: “Do BMW drivers just get a handbook of how not to drive and how to be a d**k when they get the handbook of the BMW?”
The picture didn’t almost induce a heart attack in everyone though, with someone else pointing out: "May have parked up while it was busy and somebody next to him was parked across the line! Besides, it's empty now so what’s the deal?"

Other comments in that vein included: "What’s the issue? There is plenty of empty parking.”
Another said: “The reason they’ve parked like that is because they don’t want people bashing their doors into a £50k+ motor.”
A final user added: "I’d do the same to be honest, if there are enough empty bays around me. I even use disabled bays."

So far, the post has racked up over 100 reactions and comments which show a clear divide among opinions.
If you’re wondering why people seem to harbour such a vendetta against BMW drivers, it could be because a study published last year found that they’re the ‘worst drivers’ on the roads.
In 2021, finance firm Moneybarn asked 4,000 people who they thought were the 'worst drivers on the road'.
Almost 40 percent (39.1 percent) of respondents said they had a big problem with BMW drivers.

The report said: "It's clear that BMW drivers have built up quite the reputation for them, hence the joke that BMW's don't come with indicators.
"And to hammer home how the rest of the public seems to think about them, a quick internet search for the term 'why are BMW drivers...' sees Google suggest results such as 'so hated', 'so arrogant' and 'idiots'.”
