A customer has left a scathing review of one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants after a £239 meal left them ‘heartbroken’.
The customer posted a one-star Google review last week after their recent visit, saying they were met with a ‘terrible experience’ and ‘seriously overpriced’ food.
They had decided to treat themselves to a meal at Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen in Liverpool after waiting ‘years’ to try the famous Beef Wellington Experience.

But the evening resulted in disappointment, with the bill coming to £239 for two people, not including any booze.
They wrote: “Waited years to try a real Beef Wellington from Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, and tonight was the night.
“Terrible experience, food was seriously overpriced and wasn’t of a very good standard paid for the Beef Wellington experience.”

The customer went on to list exactly what they ate:
Starter to share:
1 piece of tuna
4 chicken wings
Advert
A slither of beef
Main meal to share:
4 slices of beef wellington
1 portion of mash
Advert
Dessert to share:
1 small chocolate fondant
1 small cheesecake without a biscuit base
3 scoops of ice cream
Advert
Drinks:
3 bottles of water
They added: “Total price £239 absolutely disgusting food was not done to any great standard if it was offered to me again for £40 I still wouldn’t return as it wasn’t nice. Avoid this place unless ya like overpriced trash or burning cash. Heartbroken.”
According to the website for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, the Beef Wellington Experience costs £80 per person for three courses, and is available to order for tables of 2-6 guests.
“Start your experience with a delicious Grey Goose Royal cocktail, before selecting your starter,” it explains.
“Choose between Tamarind spiced chicken wings with spring onions and coriander; spicy tuna tartare with wonton crisps, crème fraiche and avocado; or red pepper and tomato gazpacho, cucumber and basil.
“Then, it’s time for the main event. Flaky pastry, delicious duxelles, and tender beef accompanied by luxurious truffle mash and rich bone marrow sauce. The Beef Wellington is Gordon Ramsay’s signature dish – and once you taste it, you’ll see why!
“Finish off your gastronomic journey with our tempting dessert platter – perfect for people who simply can’t pick between puddings…”
