Brooklyn Beckham’s cooking skills have been under the microscope once again, coming in for a bit of criticism. This time, he’s cooking pancakes in aid of Pancake Day and has tried to rival his dad, as you can see from the video below:
Beckham has been doing a lot of cooking as of late, including sharing a lot of those tips with his online followers, but this time the 23-year-old decided to get involved in order to have a bit of a contest with his dad, David.

So, you’ll no doubt be aware that it was Pancake Day yesterday, meaning that loads of people in the UK – and beyond – were getting batter into those pans and attempting to flip it.
This represented something of a contest for the Beckham boys.
After Brooklyn’s mum Victoria shared a video of David flipping a pancake, calling him a ‘tosser’ in the process, their oldest son decided that he wasn’t to be outdone.
He went on to film himself flipping a pancake, but doing it with his eyes closed.

On his Instagram, he asked: "@davidbeckham but could you do it with your eyes closed."
To be fair to him, he responded: “I couldn’t do it with my eyes open, looks like a good pancake @brooklynpeltzbeckham."
Despite his dad clearly being supportive of his efforts, this is still the internet after all, so people were quick to criticise the aspiring cook’s pancake skills.

One said: "That pancake is way too thick!"
"Too thick for a pancake more like an omelette,” another wrote.
Luckily, not everyone has such exacting standards on what pancakes made by celebrities are supposed to look like, with others realising that it was just a bit of fun.
One such person commented: "He’s being cheeky with his dad, it’s funny.

“Please stop taking the pancake so seriously.”

"I don’t get all the hate for him. Just leave him alone and scroll on. I like his post,” said another.

Brooklyn only got involved after his mum shared a post on her own Instagram passing comment on David’s pancake-making ability.
Wandering around the couple’s kitchen, she said: "So it's Pancake day, and David is tossing away, that's impressive he is so good."
Offering her some of his own honey, David said: "Darling, what do you want on your pancake? Do you want some of that?"
Victoria joked: “I love me some sticky stuff, he is such a tosser."
While Brooklyn lives across the pond in the US with his wife Nicola Peltz and her family, Victoria, David, and their other three children Romeo, Cruz, and Harper live in a massive mansion in the Cotswolds.
