A Burger King employee received a rather sub-par goodie bag after a whopping 27 years in service.
Kevin Ford went viral after he opened up a small bag of gifts that he received from HMS Host, the company from which Burger King hires staff.
The cook/cashier, who works at the Burger King in the Las Vegas airport, says he felt that the company sent him a load of stuff 'they had lying around'.

The small see-through bag included a bag of Reese's, a Starbucks reusable cup, two pens and one movie ticket, as reported by TMZ.
The 54-year-old, although grateful for the so-called gesture, admitted: "I'm happy about anything, I'm thankful for anything I get, I'm not that type of person, believe me. I've been through a lot.
"It's a great company, you know, I've been there 27 years.

"But like most big corporations, they've kind of lost touch with their workers, and through covid and whatever, they started
cutting out programs."
He added: "We used to get cheques for 20 years, and that's what I actually thought that movie ticket was.
"I was like 'hey, they finally gave me my card', and then I saw it was not even two movie tickets – it was one.

"So I was like 'this is just too much', and [it seemed] it was just stuff they had laying around that they put together."
Commenting on the viral footage, one user said: "F**k that, I would want a raise after all those years, not some makeshift gift bag."
A second wrote: "They could’ve at least gave my guy some free whoopers."

Someone else added: "They wonder why the new generation refuses to stay on jobs like this but the outcome speaks for itself man, ppl are not settling for bulls**t anymore, congrats on his tenure but Hell nah!"
Another viewer sarcastically wrote: "This is great!! @BurgerKing really going out of the way to show appreciation for the work force.
"Just think, it was not too long ago that all you would get from your company was a competitive salary you could raise a family on and a stupid pension, now we have goodie bags."
