Chris Evans has been named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive 2022.
His selection was announced on Monday night (7 November) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and on the magazine's website.

The 41-year-old - who for nearly a decade played Captain America - takes the crown from another Avenger, Paul Rudd, and is the latest in a long line of superhero actors to claim the flattering title.
Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was the first Avenger to win the annual honour, which was first handed out to Mel Gibson in 1985.
Other recipients include John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Richard Gere, Channing Tatum and David Beckham.
"My mum will be so happy," Evans told PEOPLE. "She's proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about."

He continued: "This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.
"Really this will just be a point of bullying. It's ripe for harassment."
Evans' first film role came in The New Comers in 2000, going on to play superhero Johnny Storm in two Fantastic Four films released in 2005 and 2007.

However, he gained widespread fame in 2011 with the release of Captain America: The First Avenger.
Since then, he's played the superhero in 10 Marvel films, laying down his shield after saving the universe in Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
This year, he voiced Buzz Lightyear in Pixar's Lightyear, and played an assassin in Netflix's The Gray Man.
So he's saved the universe, been Buzz Lightyear and now he's been crowned the sexiest man alive... life's not fair, is it?
Looking forwards, Captain America is keen to stay closer to home, in Boston.

"When it comes to seeking out the people I play it's more of an issue of where the movie shoots," he said.
"I'm too old to be living out of a suitcase for six months and I've settled into a nicer phase where I'm just happy being at home."
He continued: "The most enjoyable aspect of my career right now is feeling secure enough to take my foot off the gas.
"I feel like I have a bit more freedom to take time away from the industry and still find projects that will satisfy my creative appetite when I return."

He also has his sights set on getting married and becoming a dad - though his private life is something he'd rather keep off the cover of magazines.
"That's absolutely something I want," he said
"Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends."
