A couple who held a Harry Potter-themed wedding have been confronted by ruthless and mean comments online.
Craig and Katherine are certifiably obsessed with the world created by JK Rowling.
They knew each other was The One after seeing they had the same Potter tattoo on their body.

Craig wanted to make it official and proposed to Katherine while they were visiting the Hogwarts Castle at Harry Potter World in Orlando, Florida.
They were keen on making their nuptials themed around Hogwarts and the Potter universe.
Guests had to wear something that aligned with the Hogwarts house that was included on their invitation and the newlyweds had their first dance while holding wands.

Craig said: "Katherine and I aren't huge fans of ceremonies and traditional weddings, and we knew we wanted to have a different wedding.
"It's funny actually, Katherine and I both have the same Harry Potter-related tattoo, but we got them before we even met.
"There wasn't a single unsupportive person at our wedding.
"There were zero negative remarks before, at, or after our wedding from guests. What we did hear a lot was that it was the best wedding people had been to.

"Katherine's grandparents who are in their 70s came up to us multiple times throughout the night telling us they didn't know what to expect, but it was the most fun they had at a wedding in a long time."
However, when images were posted onto social media, the reaction from some people was definitely below the belt.
Craig added: "There were a lot of people who loved it, but there were a mixture of comments like 'Grow up', 'Harry Potter adults are worse than Disney adults', 'why is the groom wearing a backward hat?', and 'this is the cringiest thing ever, how embarrassing'."

Thankfully for the happy couple, those mean-spirited comments were like water off a duck's back.
"Katherine and I thought it was kind of funny. It never really bothered us, however, I never realised how much people on the internet think that their opinions matter," the 36-year-old primary school teacher said.
"A lot of people kept saying stuff like 'I'm sure everyone in the audience is so uncomfortable', and 'the ring bearer must be so embarrassed' but that couldn't be further from the truth.
"Our friends and family are so used to our shenanigans, by now they just go along with it."

Hey, as long as the bride and groom had the wedding of their dreams then that's all that matters.
