A Death row killer ordered a final meal that managed to contain a shocking 29,000 calories.
If you could have one final meal? What would it be? Would it be something comforting or the most extraordinary dish you can think of?
Thankfully, most of us won’t ever have to consider what they would think. In fact, I wish you many more a full belly and satisfied meals.

However, one death row inmate knew exactly what he wanted and was determined to make it a rich and filling meal to say the very least.
Gary Carl Simmons Jr was executed in 2012 at a Mississippi prison, where he had been jailed for the murder of Jeffrey Wolfe.
Named 'the Butcher', Simmons had been particularly brutal as he had dismembered Wolfe and fed him to alligators in 1996.

When it came to his time to die, Simmons went all out with his last meal request, in what may be the biggest death row meal of all time.
The meal spanned several dishes and was enough to feed multiple people.
It was reported that Simmons dined on the following: One Pizza Hut medium Super Supreme Deep Dish pizza, double portion, with mushrooms, onions, jalapeño peppers and pepperoni; pizza, regular portion, with three cheeses, olives, bell pepper, tomato, garlic and Italian sausage.
This was in addition to ten 8-oz. packs of Parmesan cheese, ten 8-oz. packs of ranch dressing, one family size pack of Doritos nacho cheese flavour, 8 oz. jalapeño nacho cheese; 4 oz. sliced jalapeños.

And to wash down this eye-watering amount of food?
Simmons treated himself to two large strawberry shakes and two 20-oz. cherry Cokes.
As sides he had one super-size order of McDonald's fries with extra ketchup and mayonnaise and finished off with two pints of strawberry ice cream.

I would say that I can't imagine how lousy he must have felt the next day, but given it was his last meal, he probably wasn't too concerned about stomach aches or heart burn.
Simmons was killed by lethal injection at 6pm on 20 June, 2012.
Reportedly, he had eaten half of his meal 90 minutes before his execution and had tried a 'bit of everything' except for the chips.
Whether or not he managed to finish off the rest of his feast is unknown.
