After success in Australia, the pop-up diner that promises great food but ‘rude’ staff has come to the UK to let you ‘live out your Karen dreams’.

Karen’s Diner first opened Down Under with restaurants in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, inviting customers to come in to ‘vent their anger’ over a burger and a shake.

Now the concept has come to Sheffield, with ‘100 percent rude staff’, handcrafted burgers and ‘fantastic’ drinks all on the menu.

The website explains: “Karen’s is an interactive diner and an absurdly fun experience. At Karens you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen. A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don't care.

“You can expect good food, good fun and a dining experience like you've never had before. Let us know if it's your birthday, if your name is Karen and for the love of Karen don't ask to speak to the manager...”

And if you happen to be named Karen yourself, you can even enjoy some freebies on the house.

“If your name is actually Karen we will give you some free drinks – bring some ID,” the website says.

As well as offering customers the opportunity to let out their anger at the staff, Karen's serves up a selection of burgers, chicken wings, ice cream and waffles.

If you're fancying one of the burgers - which include vegetarian and vegan options - you'll be able to ask for the likes of 'Karen's Got Real Beef', 'The Fiery Karen' and 'The "I Wants To See Your Manager" Karen'.

These can all be washed down with signature cocktails, beer, wine, ‘thickshakes’ and other soft drinks, or house shooters including 'The Music Is Too Loud', 'I've Been Waiting 10 Minutes For Some Service' and 'You've Just Lost My Business'.

The website adds: “Our staff are rude, our manners are non-existent, and we’re the perfect place for Karen’s everywhere to vent their anger and dismay at the world.

“Come on, ask for the manager… WE DARE YOU.”

Aaron Rovuck from the restaurant chain told Sunrise the diners offer 'a food experience that is a bit theatrical and lets out some of your pent-up emotions and kind of follows that Karens trend'.

Speaking about the idea behind the restaurant, he told the programme: "How about we let the public not worry about their etiquette for a second and let out some pent-up rage and the staff here are happy to take it.

"We want you to really become the Karen you were meant to be."
