With the sun now shining, it’s safe to say we’re all salivating at the thoughts of our jam-packed 2022 social calendars. It’s hard to know where to start, but why not at the very beginning of the summer social calendar at– wait for it – the three-day Fairyhouse Easter Festival which takes place from 16th-18th April and includes the 150th running of the Irish Grand National on Easter Monday, April 18th.
Anyone who’s spent a day at the races can attest to what an amazing excursion it is for everyone involved. And let’s face it, the BoyleSports Irish Grand National is no ordinary race - it’s the daddy of all races, and what’s more, the Festival takes place over three glorious days from Easter Saturday to Bank Holiday Easter Monday.
Located at Fairyhouse Racecourse, this iconic Irish social event is already beloved to sports fans and social butterflies alike. And now it’s back once again to kickstart your summer social lives with three days of food, drink, fashion, racing and almighty craic for every member of the family.

If you’re operating on just a slightly lower budget, there are also individual day tickets available in advance for €20 (Saturday), €28 (Sunday) and €35 (Monday).
And there’s no need to fret over transport as there are many direct transport links available from Dublin operated by Marathon Coaches which leave from Georges Quay Dublin 2. (Outside the Ulster Bank) at 12.30 & 13.30 Saturday, Sunday & Monday – plus returns after last race for when your feet are starting to ache a little.
